Why: An award program that formally recognizes six Halton companies which demonstrate excellence in support of skilled trades.


The Halton Apprenticeship Advisory Council (HAAC) is a community effort to foster growth of the skilled trades in the Halton Region. Honour Roll 2001 has recognized six companies located in Halton categorized in two sections: 50 or less employees and companies with 51 or more employees. The Honour Roll 2001 has recognized the following six companies for their demonstration of excellence in promotion of skilled trades in Halton:


50 or less Employees:

  • Georgetown Chrysler Limited

  • Landscape Ontario

  • Milton Machine Shop Limited


51 or more Employees:

  • Dofasco Incorporated.

  • North American Construction

  • Mattamy Homes Limited

The event was a successful turn out by many key members of industry, education, government and personnel from across the region of Halton. Some of the guest speakers included Don Pether, President & Chief Operating Officer, Dofasco Inc, and Judi Partridge, Manager Community Relations, The Hamilton Spectator.
